(The Present Perfect Tense)

I have asked, written. Have I asked, written? I have not (haven't) asked, written.
He (she, it) has asked, written. Has he (she, it) asked, written? He (she it) has not asked, written.
We (you, they) have asked, written. Have we (you, they) asked, written? We (you, they) have not asked, written.

Present Perfect

I have seen this film and think it is dull.

I have seen this film.

I have seen this film twice this week.

I have just got a letter from my brother.

They have already got ready for the test.

Have you got ready for the test yet?

They haven't got ready for the test yet.

We have already come to a definite conclusion.

He has read many books lately(of late).

Have you ever seen this man before?

I have not seen him since 1998.

I haven't seen him since.

I haven't seen him since he left Murmansk.

В предложении при этом имеются обстоятельства времени, обозначающие незаконченный отрезок времени, в котором протекает действие: for в течение; for a long time давно, долго; for years в течение многих лет; for ages целую вечность; since c (since nine o'clock с 9 часов), с тех пор как.

I have known him since my childhood.

I have known him for a long time.

We haven't seen him since he left Murmansk.
