Tin category of number of verbs

In all endoeuropean languages this category is expressed by means of inflexion and the number of them depends on language type,synthetic or analytical.

The number of person is universat because it's determined by the structure of any communicativ situation.the first person is0из speaker.the second is the adresse and the third is non-participant(he,she)And correspondingly each person can be singular and plural.

If in Russian there are 6 different inflexion.in English there is only one(s). The rest forms have zero inflexions. This situation is connected with 2 view points upon the assence of this category. The fists viewpoint is that all five unmarked forms kre expressed by the same zero inflexion,so the opposition is of binary privative type.

Two types.:

1. Binary privative opposition -0- -s(take-takes)

2. Multiple equipollent opposition

The category of tense of verbs

The category of tense is a verbal category that reflects the objective category of time. The essential characteristic of the category of tense is that it relates the time of the action, event or state of affairs referred to in the sentence to the time of the utterance (the time of the utterance being 'now ' or the present moment). The tense category is realized through the oppositions. The binary principle of oppositions remains the basic one in the correlation of the forms that represent the grammatical category of tense. The present moment is the main temporal plane of verbal actions. Therefore, the temporal dichotomy may be illustrated by the following graphic representation (the arrows show the binary opposition):
