Types of activities and teaching methods




Forms of education: lectures, seminars, independent work of students.

Learning Tools: textbooks, and teaching aids, presentation (computer multimedia projector, video recorder) and the control of knowledge.

Teaching methods: explanatory-illustrative, reproductive, research. These methods are used in different combinations, and sometimes in parallel. Tasks for independent work (write a paper, essay, prepare a report to the seminars, etc.) provide opportunities for productive and creative activity of students.

Techniques Training: working with textbooks, study of primary sources, evidence, debates, problem solving.

Theoretical classes (lectures) organized by threads, seminars - groups. The total amount of classroom and regulatory scope of independent work of students is regulated by the curriculum. Independent work includes the study of the recommended literature, preparation for seminars, writing an essay and others.

 

Assessment of knowledge

Student knowledge assessment is carried out on the score-rating letter system with an appropriate transfer to the traditional rating scale.

On current control performance academic achievement of students evaluated on a 100 point scale for each completed task:

Lectures- 100 points, including activity - 50; lectures - 50;

Seminar - 100 points, including activity 50 and task 50 (oral response, response to tests on the topic, the presentation of the theme, the protection of the essay on the topic, the decision of situational problems);

SIWT, SIW - 100 points (including SIWT: oral answer; the answer to tests, the presentation of the theme, the protection of the essay on the topic, the decision of situational problems, SIW: presentation preparation, preparation and conduct of sociological research)

The final result of the current control of progress supplied arithmetic mean calculation the sum of all scores obtained during the academic control.

The final grade of the discipline in the percentage determined by the following formula:

Total% = C1 (30%) + C2 (30%) + E (40%)

 

Where: C1 - percentage of the assessment of the 1st rating (Control 1);

C2 - percentage of the assessment of the 2nd ranking (Control 2);

E - the percentage of exam scores.

Criteria for evaluating the behavior Points
1. Being late to class -10
2. The use of cell phones during class (except a calculator) -10
3. Violation of discipline, i.e.: foul language; insult to the teacher and other students; blatant disregard of requirements regarding teacher training process; failure to meet requirements for cleanliness audience. -10
4. Active participation on seminars +10
5. Late submission of homework without a reason. -25
6. Performance with the presentation (abstract) in a report on the student conference (marked by a diploma or certificate). +50 (+70)
7. Written off the job from another student (without asking anyone who has written off). -100
