MY FUTURE PROFESSION (PHILOLOGIST)

Choosing a career is probably one of the most important decisionsyou will ever make. And it is not easy to choose the right one of the hundreds of jobs. I didn’t make a blind choice. I came to this decision little by little.

 I’m a first-year student of the Faculty of Slavonic Philology at Mogilev State University. I am an extra-mural student. I’ve chosen Philology as my future profession. In the near future I’ll graduate from the University and become a teacher of the Belarusian (Russian) language and literature.

The profession of a teacher has always been one of the most honourable and of great responsibility. A good teacher should have true interest in children and love for them. He must be also a well-educated man. He must be a strict but just and hard-working person. A teacher is a person who is teaching as well as learning himself all his life.

As for me, I’d like to teach my pupils to enjoy reading books, to encourage them in learning the Belarusian literature and language which is the source of our national culture. It is known that teaching is a very stressful job taking much time and efforts. I hope that my love for children will help me succeed in my work.

 The graduates of our faculty can work not only at secondary schools but also at the higher educational establishments, publishing houses, radio and TV.

 I’m a first-year student of the Historical Faculty at Mogilev State University. I am an extra-mural student. In the near future I’ll graduate from the University and become a teacher of History.

I am proud of my future profession. I decided to choose this profession because History was my favourite subject at school. History is a process of developing nature and society. History studies the past of mankind in all its variety. It interests me because it helps pepople understand and explain the processes going on in various aspects of human life. It also helps people foresee the course of events in future. Historians study and describe the historic events taking place in different epochs and in different countries.

As for me, I am going to become a teacher of History. I love children and want to work with them. I will try impart my love of this subject to my pupils.
